TUFF was founded in 2018 to solve a problem in youth sports.
Growing up, TUFF’s founder, Adam Shibley had the privilege of wearing high quality sports uniforms. However, that’s not the case for everyone.
A Cleveland, Ohio native and St. Ignatius High School graduate, Shibley received his bachelors in Communications and Media from the University of Michigan. He then attended the University of Notre Dame to earn his Master’s in Management. After his 5 year collegiate football career came to a close, Shibley moved to Chicago, Illinois to start his professional career as a Taliaferro Fellow in Office of the Commissioner at the Big Ten Conference.
A Richmond, Virginia native and Collegiate Prep High School graduate, Speight received his bachelors in Economics and Master’s in Business Management from the University of Michigan. After his 5 year collegiate football career as a Wolverine ended, Speight moved to Nashville, Tennessee to begin his professional life as a Cloud Venture Consultant at Oracle. In his free time, you may find Jess playing the Guitar.
A Sugarcreek, Ohio native and Garaway High School graduate, Honigford received his bachelors in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Joel just completed his 6th year of collegiate football and is currently training for the NFL.
Native of Detroit, Michigan where he attend University of Detroit Jesuit High School. He then went on to Howard University where he graduated with a degree in political science and played baseball for 4 seasons. In 2022, he completed an Advanced Leadership Initiative at Harvard University.
Arguably the most exciting voice in all of sports broadcasting, Gus Johnson is the lead play-by-play announcer for FOX Sports’ college football and college basketball coverage. Johnson has served as FOX Sports’ lead college football play-by-play voice since 2011, and of the network’s college basketball coverage since 2013, the first year FOX Sports carried national college basketball games.
Currently serves as a Financial Advisor and Director of Global Sports & Entertainment at Morgan Stanley. A graduate of the University of Michigan, his experience with Bo Schembechler helped shape his commitment to integrity, ethics, and values.
As an active philanthropist, Marc has a history of mentoring children. He served as Chairman of the Board for All Children’s Hospital Foundation and Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay Foundation and on the board of The Vinny LeCavalier Foundation focusing on pediatric cancer.
Marc currently serves as an advisory council member of the World Federation of Youth Clubs. In addition, Marc founded a Social Justice Coalition with global reach aimed at generational change.
Marc and his wife Lisa have two sons, Jordan and Eric.
